Estare Selected for WEtech Alliance’s i.d.e.a. Fund Cohort 3

Estare is honored to be selected as one of 12 innovative Canadian companies receiving $20,000 in non‑repayable funding from WEtech Alliance as part of Cohort 3 of the Government of Canada–supported i.d.e.a. Fund.

But this achievement carries a deeper meaning for our team.

This MVP — the version that ultimately qualified Estare for the i.d.e.a. Fund — was our seventh attempt. We built, tested, failed, refined, rebuilt, and pushed forward six times before finally reaching a breakthrough.

This moment reflects the resilience, engineering discipline, and commitment to continuous improvement that define Estare.

About the i.d.e.a. Fund: Driving Clean Growth in Southern Ontario

The i.d.e.a. Fund emphasizes Inclusion, Diversity, Environment, and Acceleration and exists to support companies developing or redesigning products and processes that reduce environmental impact and advance clean‑growth innovation.

The program provides both funding and specialized advisory support, helping Southern Ontario’s innovators scale green technologies and strengthen Canada’s clean‑tech economy.

It operates through six Regional Innovation Centres, including:

  • WEtech Alliance

  • Boundless Accelerator

  • Innovate Niagara

  • Innovation Factory

  • Launch Lab

  • TechAlliance of Southwestern Ontario

All are supported by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

Why This Matters for Estare

This funding helps Estare accelerate development in several strategic areas:

  1. Expanding Sustainable FRP‑Driven Manufacturing

FRP hybridization and advanced fabrication allow us to reduce waste, energy consumption, and weight across multiple industrial applications.

  2. Scaling PackSeries+ and Related Clean‑Tech Solutions

Funding will accelerate product refinement, environmental performance improvements, and deployment speed.

  3. Strengthening Circular‑Economy‑Aligned Processes

Our design methodology increasingly focuses on long‑life materials, modularity, repairability, and energy‑efficient production.

  4. Continuing Our Culture of Iterative Innovation

Our seventh‑attempt MVP is now a symbol of our commitment to pushing boundaries and refusing to quit — the same mindset fueling our future R&D.

Part of a Growing Ecosystem of Innovation

Estare joins eleven other forward‑thinking companies selected through WEtech Alliance for this cohort, advancing technologies across agriculture, data, cybersecurity, fabrication, and more — all contributing to Southern Ontario’s clean‑tech leadership.

This ecosystem approach ensures innovators can grow together, share expertise, and accelerate regional impact.

Looking Ahead

Estare’s selection marks both a milestone and a beginning. With renewed momentum, we will continue:

  • Innovating with purpose

  • Building sustainable, high‑performance technologies

  • Supporting Canada’s transition to a low‑carbon economy

  • Scaling solutions that matter globally

This achievement belongs to every engineer, builder, partner, and supporter who believed in the vision — through all seven iterations.
